Henna is an Associate Solicitor in the Family and Matrimonial Department based in our Brighton Office.
Henna qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 and has exclusively practiced in Family Law ever since.

Prior to joining Griffith Smith LLP in March 2019 Henna gained her experience in 2 London City firms and Howlett Clarke Solicitors in Brighton and Hove.

Today Henna is an accredited Member of the Family Law Panel and is committed to the constructive, non-confrontational and cost effective resolution of family disputes.

Henna covers all of Sussex and her work includes advising clients upon relationship breakdown, including unmarried separation, divorce, and civil partnership dissolution and associated financial matters.
Henna has gained particular experience in advising on pre-nuptial agreements and complex financial settlements on divorce, often involving complex disclosure issues.

In addition Henna specialises in a wide range of Private Law Children matters ranging from day-to-day living arrangements and contact disagreements, Emergency Order for the return of a child, consent for medical treatments, and change of name disputes to issues surrounding international relocation.

Henna regularly represents parents, grandparents and other family members in contact and residence disputes. Henna has vast experience working in Public Law Children proceedings and is therefore familiar with cases where family members seek advice in respect of caring for a child who is in care of the Local Authority.

Henna carries out the majority of her own advocacy and can represent you in Court Hearings from First Hearing Dispute Resolution Appointments (FHDRA), Dispute Resolution Appointment (DRA), Financial Dispute Resolution Hearings (FDR) and Final Hearings. Henna regularly advocates in Brighton and London Courts.
